Immunizations

Vaccine-preventable disease levels in the United States are at or near record lows. However, this is not the case around the world.  Even though most infants and toddlers in the United States have received all recommended vaccines by age two, many under-immunized children remain, creating the possibility of disease outbreaks.

Children who have not had all their infant immunizations are at risk for getting these diseases from the people who care for them.  Many teens and adults are missing the chance to protect not only themselves, but also children under the age of two against deadly diseases such as Hepatitis B, Pertussis (Whooping Cough), influenza, and pneumococcal disease.

Many private insurances, Medicaid and private payments are accepted for Immunization Services.  If your appointment will be your first with the Seneca County General Health District, please visit our Immunization Consent Form for Children page to download and complete the necessary forms before you arrive for your appointment.
